COWTASTROPHE
grab cows · fling goats · blame the beavers
A party card game about grabbing cows, getting them into your corral before your neighbors can, and causing as much trouble as possible on the way. Quick to learn, loud to play, and still very much being drawn.

The Short Version
A fast, loud game about cows
Two to eight farmers, one shared pasture, and absolutely no honor among neighbors
Quick to Play
A round moves fast! Draw a card, play a card, repeat. And please don't feed the wolves.
Built for a Group
Grab a cow and then load it into the cow-tapult and fling it at your neighbor! It plays best when the table is loud and chaos is the norm.
Corral the Herd
Grab cows from the pasture and get them safely into your corral. When the dust settles, the most valuable herd takes the farm!
Drawn by Hand
Every card starts on paper
We found an AWESOME artist who works on a pad, in pencil and ink, one cow at a time. This is the mock-up, so right now it is the only one we have to show you.

Pencil and ink
Our artist draws each cow by hand on a sketch pad. No shortcuts, and no AI anywhere in the deck.
Scanned in
The finished page gets scanned at high resolution, so what lands on the card is the drawing itself, paper texture and all.
Onto the card
Then it gets laid out, named, handed its terrible pun, and sent to the table!
The Road Ahead
Still early, and we would rather say so
Cowtastrophe is in playtesting. Here is honestly where it goes from here.
Playtesting now
The rules are being hammered flat at our own tables first. When we open the doors to outside playtesters, the herd hears about it before anyone else.
Then Gamefound
Once the deck is drawn, the campaign goes up. Part of the plan: backers get to put their own ideas onto real cards.
A cut goes to the farm
Some of what this game earns will go to supporting local farmers. It felt like the least a game about cows could do.
The Herd Is Forming
Join the Herd
First word when new cards come off the artist's pad, news from the farm, and the first invite when we open playtesting. That is the whole deal.
No spam, no cow patties. Just the occasional dinner bell.
The Dinner Bell
Come Say
Moo
Join the herd early, bring your meanest angry cow face, and be first through the gate when the game is ready for you!
